Leptotyphlopidae
A family of burrowing snakes found in Africa, Asia, North and South America. These snakes are fossorial and feed on ants and termites. In these snakes the upper cranium is immobile and they have no teeth in their upper jaw. The blind snakes and the thread snakes are examples of Leptotyphlopidaes
